Cute. And…consciousness isn’t confined to human brains, not by any means. Our consciousness is an expression of the universal consciousness and most of the rest of the stuff you talk about here is more awareness and self-awareness. Senses make qualia, which our brains interpret as sensation, and it is the ability of our complex neurology that makes us able to also be self-aware. But, consciousness is everywhere; I believe that ever bit of matter (even a sneaky, barely-matter subatomic particle) is imbued with some level of it, that subatomic particles have consciousness like they have spin. It’s when the collection of those bits becomes complex enough, they can combine and form self-awareness — the sense of ourselves as separate from the rest of the universe. “Forgetting” our connection to The Big Not-Me is where we run into problems.
