John Brodix Merryman Jr. Thanks for the thoughtful response, although I must admit I’m pretty sure I don’t get most of it. If I am reading your response right, yes, that’s the point; reductionism leads you further from reality, not closer to it. And my whole point here is that it’s neither binary nor unity, but that both are just labels we apply to be able to think about something continuous. We just don’t have the language to talk about things becoming (or, as Ken Wilbur puts it, arising). We can talk about the 1 and the 0 just fine, but the 1 becoming a 0, we have very limited language for that.
