Zat Rana Good article, although I must object to some of your premises. Humans have been searching for meaning since *way* before there was capitalism, it’s not a new tendency. And a lot of your premises are too binary; there isn’t just meaning and meaninglessness, there is a universe of options between the two. I do agree that a common narrative would allow all of humanity to share in a common goal; it’s something that would bring us all together. Narratives, stories, are really all we have — at the end all we have are the people around us and our stories.
